I am slowly figuring out blog world. I wish I would have started it sooner because it is a lot easier than I thought. I probably would have never done it if I wouldn't have been inspired by the fantastic teacher blogs like Teacher Blog Addict. It was a smooth transition to become a TBA. I think I was hooked on the first one I read. I get most of my teaching ideas from other teachers but am now inspired to create my own things and share them with everyone else.
While sharing my ideas with other teachers is a goal of mine, the main goal from creating this blog is to communicate with parents and keep them connected with our classroom happenings. I know this is something I will really have to work at but hope to keep up with.
First thing I am going to have to work on is fixing this laptop I am using. One day it just decided to stop uploading picture to it from my Nikon camera. Maybe my wonderful techy Aunt Dana will help me figure out the problem. I would love to share tons of pictures from the classroom. I am betting I will have to have parents sign releases to have their child photographed and put on a website. I better start working on that. Anyone know the rules? I also read on another teacher blog that you can add photos to a classroom Shutterfly account and parents can purchase photos if they choose. So NEAT!
Just wanted to get the "first blog" out of the way and ask everyone to bear with me as I figure all this stuff out. Hopefully this blog will end up beneficial to parents and teachers.
As a wrap I would like to add that summer days are dwindling away and I hope you all (especially my fellow teachers) make the best of our last week off. I feel like I am already back to work as I can only think about making kids games, school supplies, lesson plans, etc etc etc. OH, and my son Cooper is going to be in my class this year and its really got me NERVOUS! I think he will do fine but he often pushes the boundaries with me. Pray for me, please!
